Smart sensor technology for the precise determination of organic contamination
The DULCOEYE SAC is a high-precision sensor for the optical measurement of absorption at 254 nm. The sensor is a key component for safe and efficient water treatment. The measurement allows the following aggregate parameters to be discharged to the discharge line: spectral absorption coefficient (SAK), UV transmittance (UVT), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and biological oxygen demand (BOD), total organic carbon (TOC), and dissolved organic carbon (DOC). This allows for the precise assessment of the organic load in the water. The sensor is ideal for disinfection processes and continuous monitoring in drinking water and wastewater treatment.
A short-wavelength UV LED ensures stable, laboratory-grade measurement results. The sensor can be used in an immersive or bypass configuration—for flexible integration into existing systems.
Its robust and reliable measurement performance is impressive. A compact flow cell reduces water consumption and offers fast response times in treated water. In applications with higher contamination levels, an immersion fitting provides support.
As a digital sensor, the DULCOEYE SAC is designed for straightforward commissioning. The DULCOMETER diaLog C Controller automatically detects the sensor—plug-and-play instead of time-consuming configuration.
The DULCOEYE SAC also demonstrates its strengths when it comes to operational reliability and maintenance. An intelligent and robust wiper with a replaceable rubber lip ensures consistently stable measured values. The sensor is made of high-quality materials and is specifically designed for continuous-duty applications.
The DULCOEYE SAC is available as a single sensor or on a pre-assembled DULCOTROL SAC panel. The panel is equipped with Controllers and can be configured with optional measurement accessories. The sensor integrates seamlessly into existing systems, allowing it to be incorporated smoothly into existing system infrastructures.
